Lean smash burgers

Two thin patties beat one thick one, and lean mince keeps it at 600 kcal.

Ingredients for 2
  • 400 g Lean beef mince (5% fat)
  • 2 buns Burger bun
  • 40 g Cheddar
  • 1 onion Onion
  • 40 g Pickles
  • 20 g Mustard
  • 40 g Lettuce
  • Salt and pepper
Method
  1. Roll the mince into four loose balls . Do not compact them.
  2. Get a heavy pan very hot. Put two balls in, press them flat hard for ten seconds with a spatula, and salt them.
  3. Cook 90 seconds, flip, add the cheese, and give them another 60 seconds. Repeat with the other two.
  4. Toast the buns in the same pan and build with mustard, pickles, lettuce and thin raw onion.
Swaps
  • Swap the cheddar for 60 g light cream cheese stirred with mustard.
  • Skip the bun and serve the patties on a plate with a big salad.
