Ingredients

- 400 g Lean beef mince (5% fat)
- 4 pitas Pita bread
- 120 g Greek yogurt, 0% fat
- 150 g Cherry tomatoes
- 1 onion Onion
- 2 cloves Garlic
- 1 tsp Olive oil
- Cumin, coriander, chilli, salt, pepper
Method
- Mix the mince with the crushed garlic, half the onion grated, the spices and plenty of salt.
- Shape into eight fat fingers around nothing at all, or press them flat if that is easier.
- Fry in the oil for 8 minutes, turning, until browned all over and cooked through.
- Fill the pitas with the koftas, chopped tomato, the rest of the onion sliced thin, and the yogurt.
Swaps
- Swap the beef for turkey or lamb mince.
- Serve the koftas on rice with the salad on the side.
